Drugstores: How CVS's ExtraCare Rewards work
ExtraCare Rewards are very similar to Rite Aid's Up Rewards and Walgreens Register Rewards. Your ExtraBucks print on the end of your receipt when you buy qualifying products as long as your card has been scanned. Some of their rewards are valid longer than Walgreens and Rite Aid. Usually CVS ExtraCare rewards are valid for two to four weeks. You ExtraBucks can be used like cash on future purchases.
The different thing about ExtraCare Rewards is that every three months you earn 2% back on all purchases you made in ExtraBucks and for every two prescriptions you fill you earn one ExtraBuck.
As you walk into the store make sure you look for the Coupon Center and scan your card. It will print coupons personalized for you according to previous purchases you have made. And make sure you bring your reusable bags along with you. Buy a GreenBagTag for $1 and have your cashier scan the tag every time you shop. For every four times your tag is scanned you get one ExtraBuck to use on a future purchase.
