Drugstores: Rite Aid and their reward programs

There are three major drugstores: Rite Aid, CVS and Walgreens. Each store has thier own reward programs and if you know how to work them right you can get lots of products you use everyday for free or nearly free.

Rite Aid is my favorite drugstore to shop at. I always find a great deal there. Rite Aid has a few different reward programs.

Single Check Rebates is a program that has been around for a while. If you look at a store ad you will see some of the products offering a rebate. You can request one rebate check a month so don't request your check until the end of the month. I have received rebate checks as high as $35. To request your rebate you must submit the receipt information online or mail them all in at the end of the month. You will receive your check with in 2 to 6 weeks.

Rite Aid also has a Video Values program. You can make an account on there Rite Aid website and watch short videos or commercials and earn store coupons to use on those products which can really increase your savings!

Be sure to request your Wellness+ card when you are at Rite Aid. You get special sale pricing everytime you use your card. You also accumulate points as you shop. You get one point for every dollar you spend and twenty-five points for every prescription you get filled. When you reach 125, 250 and 375 points you get a one time use 10% off coupon by mail or email to use on a purchase of your choice. Once you reach 500 points you get 10% off every purchase you make for the rest of that year. You also get free health screenings/information from your pharmasist. After you reach 1,000 points you will get 20% off every purchase you make for the rest of the year. The points add up quickly so don't be worried when you look at these numbers. I reached 500 points within 3 months.

Up Rewards are a new program offered by Rite Aid. These are coupons that print at the bottom of your receipt to use on a future purchaes. They are usually valid for two weeks and you can use them like gift cards on anything you would like as long as your purchase exceeds the coupon amount. You have to scan your Wellness+ card with every purchase in order to receive and use these coupons. Up rewards are a major way I save so much money at Rite Aid each time I go.

Look at your store's weekly ad and see if you notice any of these programs advertised. If you have a question or need more information about the programs leave a comment and I will answer them to my best ability!

Join me next time to learn more about shopping at the different drugstores.
