Couponing 101: The Basics

If you are getting started with couponing or are already a coupon pro you can always learn more! Let's start with the basics and refresh everyones memory. You might just learn something you didn't know! These are just a few of the key points that helped me get to the amount of savings that I get today.

There are three major inserts that come out in the Sunday Paper.
  • P&G Brand Saver (PG) - usually comes out in the first Sunday of every month
  • Redplum (RP) - comes out frequently, usually every Sunday
  • SmartSource (SS) - comes our frequently, usually every Sunday
I suggest buying multiple copies of the paper. I usually get four copies of the inserts. Buying multiple inserts helps you get more deals. If you find a great deal at your favorite store and you can get that product for free, why not get several of those items free rather than just one?

Save every coupon. If you don't have to be or aren't brand loyal then it opens your world to so many more free products. You can miss out on a lot of deals if you toss non-expired coupons that you don't think you will use.

Organize your coupons in a way that works for you. Play around with organizing your coupons and figure out what works best.

Join me each Tuesday for a few tips or tricks on how to coupon at your best potential and save the most money!
